Get Growing, Spring Series - Darcy Daniels
Good news! Once again, Darcy will be teaching this popular series, especially suited for the beginning gardener, as well as long-time gardeners who want to learn something new! Learn techniques for creating plantings with strong visual interest and seasonal flow, basic garden design principles, improving plant selection and combinations, water-wise planting, spring garden care and maintenance, using summer bulbs effectively. Bodacious Borders - Lucy Hardiman
In this two-part design workshop, subtitled How the Professionals Do It, learn how to create stunning vignettes using professional techniques from well-known local designer and writer Lucy Hardiman. Includes a homework project. For intermediate gardeners with working knowledge of the Pacific Northwest plant palette.

Clematis for Small Gardens - Raymond Evison
Mr. Evison, our genus genius for April, is a British clematis breeder, Vice President of the Royal Horticultural Society and author of Clematis for Small Spaces. The book is about a new generation of Clematis designed for patios, decks, balconies and borders, Clematis that bloom longer, with larger flowers, better disease resistance. He has been working with the genus Clematis since the age of 16 and is owner of The Guernsey Clematis Nursery, which has introduced over 100 species and cultivars to gardens and nurseries worldwide. Multnomah Arts Center Directions Program begins at 2:30 p.m. $5 per ticket. Pre-registration is now closed, but tickets available at the door.
