Book Sales

One of the many wonderful benefits of HPSO membership is the opportunity to purchase gardening books at a discount. HPSO sells a wide variety of horticultural books, from just published to old favorites.  HPSO members can buy these books at the members' discount, usually about 80% of the retail price.

Books are for sale at the office, where they can be purchased any time the office is open, and at most of our programs.  Books by speakers are always in demand; they can be autographed by the speaker when purchased at the program.

Do keep in mind that all sales are final; no returns or exchanges.

Seed Sales

Through the efforts of the Seeds Committee, HPSO offers a wide variety of seeds of rare and unusual plants.  We are very fortunate to have, among our members, some of the best gardens and nurseries in the country.  And, many of these are kind-spirited enough to share their bounty and donate seeds to us.  The quality and diversity of the seeds these gardeners donate is really outstanding.  The committee prepares the seeds for sale; they are regularly offered at our large lecture programs for a nominal price of 50 cents per packet!

If you would like to donate seeds to share with other members, we'd love to have them!  It's always a delight to receive seeds that have already been cleaned, but we happily accept any seed, cleaned or not.  If you don't have time to clean the seed, simply collect it in a brown paper bag and write the name of the seed on the bag.  The botanical name is preferred, of course.  Then, put it in an envelope and either mail the envelope to us, bring it to a program, or drop it off at our office in person.
