The Hardy Plant Society of Oregon, commonly known as HPSO, is a non-profit volunteer organization for all gardeners: beginning or experienced, amateur or professional. Founded in 1984 and dedicated to the promotion of hardy herbaceous perennials, the Society now has over 2,800 members throughout the Pacific Northwest in Oregon, Southwest Washington, and beyond.

Special notice [updated March 20]: We are monitoring the Covid-19 epidemic regarding its potential impact on HPSO activities.  At this time, the Hortlandia (April 11-12) is canceled and the HPSO office is closed to meetings and visitors. Guidance on upcoming activities, including Open Gardens and HPSO’s overseas garden tours, is forthcoming. Members: please read your weekly email for the latest updates. Stay informed about the virus through reliable sources including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Oregon Health Authority, and check here and in HPSO's weekly newsletters for further updates about HPSO.
