Quarterly Spring 2023 Cover

Here are just a few of the benefits of membership:

  • Open Gardens: Online directory that lists members’ gardens that are open to other members on specific dates from spring through fall and by appointment.
  • HPSO member-exclusive events at nurseries: Our “After Hours” program brings gardeners together with area horticultural and garden businesses during evening hours to socialize, learn, shop and explore. (Often there are discounts and special treats on offer.)
  • HPSO Quarterly: Our online magazine that features in-depth articles about plants and garden design, along with book reviews and musings by gardening authors. You will be notified by email when the new issues come out, unless you purchased the hard copy option which will be delivered by mail.
  • Special membership prices for HPSO lectures and workshops: We offer lectures by well-known experts, authors, and gardeners, giving members an opportunity to learn and engage.
  • Study/Interest Groups: A great way for members to meet on a regular basis to pursue mutual interests or a gardening region.
  • Trips and tours: We travel to gardens worldwide with a small group of HPSO members. Our groups have toured very special gardens throughout Europe, New Zealand, Asia, South Africa and Australia. Let us know if you’d like to sign up for the free Garden Travel Club for more information.
  • Early shopping for Hortlandia volunteers: If you volunteer to work at our spring plant and garden art sale, Hortlandia, you get to shop before the doors open to anyone else! Sign up early for your favorite job.
  • Community Forum:A place you can connect with other members to ask gardening questions or discuss plants and other horticultural goings-on.
  • GROW newsletter in your inbox. This weekly E-newsletter (bi-weekly in fall and winter) provides news and information, and features upcoming HPSO events and weekly Open Gardens, plus loads of interesting tidbits and opportunities to get involved.
