About Study Weekend
Study Weekend is the Pacific Northwest’s premier gardening conference, attracting gardeners from across the United States and Canada, and from as far-away as the United Kingdom and Australia. The conference provides attendees the opportunity to hear from several internationally renowned speakers, to visit superb open gardens in the host city, to purchase plants and garden art from local nurseries and artists, and to participate in engaging social activities with fellow passionate gardeners.

Scheduled for a weekend in late June, Study Weekend rotates among four cities and four host organizations: Portland (The Hardy Plant Society of Oregon); Bellevue/Seattle (Northwest Perennial Alliance); Vancouver, B.C. (Vancouver Hardy Plant Group); and Victoria, B.C. (Victoria Horticultural Society’s Hardy Plant Group).

Adjustments to the Study Weekend rotation and schedule were approved by the host organizations in 2020. The new city rotation is as follows:

2023       Vancouver, B.C.
2025       Portland, Oregon
2027       Victoria, B.C.
2029       Bellevue/Seattle area, Washington
2031        Vancouver, B.C.
2033       Portland, Oregon

Please note that after 2023, Study Weekend takes place every other year.
